Where Bargaining Stands
The current agreement runs from
August 21, 2026 to August 20, 2029.
It is the first contract negotiated under SB 1, which limited bargaining to wages and moved tenure, workload, faculty evaluation, post-tenure review and most of retrenchment to Board of Trustees policy. Those provisions are written to be reversible if the law changes.
Either party may open negotiations for a successor agreement by giving notice on or before September 15, 2028.
